TAYLOR’S 325th ANNIVERSARY BLEND
Taylor’s is one of the original founding Port houses and has remained a benchmark among Port producers throughout its history. This year it celebrates the 325th Anniversary of its establishment in 1692. To commemorate this important milestone, Taylor’s blending team has drawn on Taylor’s extensive cask aged reserves to create a special commemorative blend of fine oak- matured Ports selected for their depth and richness of flavour. This Limited Edition Reserve Tawny, with its seductive deep tawny colour, smooth round palate and opulent mellow aromas, is a fitting tribute to Taylor’s long history and mastery of the art of cask ageing and blending. The availability of this unique commemorative edition is strictly limited.
SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE PACKAGING
Taylor’s 325th Anniversary Limited Edition Reserve Tawny is presented in a unique collector’s edition bottle, made in a mould specially designed for the 325th Anniversary. Its shape and embossed detail are inspired by the ‘squat onion’ bottles in use at the time of Taylor’s foundation.
The first Ports shipped by the company after its foundation in 1692 would have been served in these hand-blown ‘onion’ bottles, often bearing a seal with the initials or personal emblem of their owners. The bottle bears the famous 4XX device which has identified the company and its wines for three-and-a-quarter centuries.
The bottle is delivered in an museum-style exhibition box allowing consumers to view the uniquely shaped bottle when displayed on shelf.
Lifted but dense dried and candied fruit nose along with chocolate-covered coffee beans and Christmas baking spices. Multilayered, plush palate with a concentrated, juicy, bright mulberry core of acidity surrounded by rich sticky toffee pudding and warm gingerbread notes. Complex but approachable - a delicious tawny.
